A continuously heated die or sealing bar is used by the direct contact method of hand sealing to apply heat to a particular contact area or route to seal or weld the thermoplastics together.
For many applications, heat sealing is used, such as heat seal connectors, thermally activated adhesives, film media, plastic ports, or foil sealing.
